“DOUBLE CITIZENSHIP LAW” No 6574

In 1992 when the Peruvian government decided to reorganize the Peruvian Constitution, the AIPEUC decided to include the issue of the “Double Citizenship” as an issue of priority to its IX Convention, in May 1993 in New York. It was at this time when intensive negotiations started with the representatives of the legislative and executive bodies of the Peruvian government.

With the support of the media, newspapers, radio, television, and important national organizations such as Regional Clubs, Chambers of Commerce, an others, the pronouncement was favorable. We finally accomplishes the inclusion of this important law into the Peruvian Constitution.

1996
Solidarity missions to assist the victims of the Nazca earthquake, in southern Peru.

Health Prevention missions with the “Perlas de agua” campaign.

1997
Construction of the Center for Elementary Education No 266, “Sagrado Corazón de Jesus” in Vista Alegre, Nazca. This center solved the educational problem for 250 children, replacing the school that was destroyed by the Nazca earthquake.

1998
Marathon fundraising to assist the victims of the “El Niño” current. This fundraising was done by all of the associated chapters simultaneously.

Construction of a Health Center in San Juan de la Virgen, Tumbes. This center provides services in Dentistry, Pediatrics, Internal and Family Medicine and triage. It also has a waiting room, Administration offices, restrooms, and storage and water tank, all built with top quality materials.

1996 – 1997 – 1998 – 1999 – 2000 – 2001 – 2002 – 2003
Project “Muñecos de Peluche”. Teddy bears for the children of the recondite areas of Peru.

1999
Medical mission carry out through a joint agreement with the Peruvian medical doctors of CIRPLAST. Surgery was performed in 45 patients to correct cleft palate abnormalities in Catacaos, Piura.

2000 - present
In process, “Hogar Taller de la Madre” a 16,000 square feet shelter for up to 80 homeless mothers is being built in Huancayo.
